OPERATION
SPAMINA Email Service Firewall acts as an external filter between the recipient (PC, PDA, BlackBerry or mobile phone) and the e-mail sender. Messages are received and filtered before reaching the user and threat-free mail is delivered, regardless of where the user checks it (in the office, at home, etc.).
Valid e-mail is sent to a protected mail server and junk mail is kept in our data centre, available for online consultation, where blocked mail can be easily recovered as required.

The various layers of filters ensure maximum effectiveness, providing up to 100% protection with the Guaranteed Filter mode. Initially, filtering is done by connection, removing a vast majority of junk mail, according to the source. Mail that passes this first layer is scanned with our multi-layer anti-virus system. Finally, those emails that have not been rejected or directly considered as valid will pass through the content filter by means of trained DNS and Bayesian network queries using Spamina Proactive, Spamina’s own technology. Outgoing mail can also be filtered, ensuring that any attack from the inside can also be controlled.
This process does not slow your IT system down, as filtering is not done on PCs or mobile devices, rather on external SPAMINA servers.


Monitoring and administering mail is done by using multi-language web panels, simplifying any management for the administrator and the end user.

“SPAMINA Email Service Firewall - SaaS for ISP’s” Solution
In the same way that service is provided transparently from our installations to companies, ISPs or systems integrators can offer e-mail security services based on SPAMINA Email Service Firewall. This can be done either from their own installations (In-house mode) or be hosted in the data centres of Spamina (Hosted by Spamina mode), isolating the customer’s own IT infrastructure from the service to be offered.
This solution (as either mode) allow you to administer and control the platform completely, define product adaptations, such as a more suitable corporate image with SPAMINA customising the product or extending e-mail back-up capabilities for the customers supported by the ISP.
